Ravens add to secondary with Marlon Humphrey
Matt Kartozian / USA TODAY Sports
The Baltimore Ravens have selected cornerback Marlon Humphrey out of Alabama with the 16th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Humphrey provides a significant and long-term upgrade to a Baltimore defensive backfield that is suddenly taking shape as one of the league's most talented.
Alongside safeties Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson, he slides into a cornerback depth chart that already includes Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr. At the very least, he should have the opportunity to earn a nickel role.
Humphrey is the second cornerback off the board behind Marshon Lattimore, who went to the New Orleans Saints at No. 11.
