Payton: Saints signed Warford because he's got 'ass and mass'

The New Orleans Saints signed guard Larry Warford in free agency in part because they were attracted to his large posterior.

Asked what he likes about Warford, head coach Sean Payton gave an amusing response:

"He's got ass and mass. We have a saying, ass and mass, kick ass," Payton joked, according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

Warford is indeed a massive man, weighing in at 317 pounds with a 6-foot-3 frame.

To the Saints, that mass (and let's not forget the ass) was worth a four-year deal worth $34 million with $17 million in guarantees.
