Kraft celebrates Cooks' acquisition, hopes to retain Butler

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared his feelings on his team's transactions since its Super Bowl triumph Monday at the league meetings in Arizona.

The Patriots added high-flying receiver Brandin Cooks in a trade with the New Orleans Saints and Kraft said the move gives his team a unique weapon, calling Cooks the most dynamic receiver on the team since Randy Moss, according to Nick Underhill of The Advocate.

As for cornerback Malcolm Butler, he has yet to sign his tender offer from New England and has paid a visit to New Orleans. Kraft wants to see him remain in the Patriots' colors.

"I hope he's with us," Kraft said, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

Backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has also been mentioned in trade rumors. Kraft would not provide an update on that situation, however. He said he would leave that to head coach and overseer of the roster, Bill Belichick, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
