Saints add to stable of RBs by trading up for Alvin Kamara
Mark Zerof / USA TODAY Sports
The New Orleans Saints have selected running back Alvin Kamara out of Tennessee in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
To get the selection from the San Francisco 49ers, the Saints traded a seventh-round pick and a 2018 second-round pick.
Kamara is an explosive back that is equally adept at running the ball or playing receiver out of the backfield. His skill set should match perfectly with new Saints running back Adrian Peterson to give the club a formidable duo in the backfield.
With the move to grab Kamara, one has to wonder if this is the end of the line for Mark Ingram in New Orleans.
