Vikings' Sharrif Floyd: Knee remains an issue

Floyd, who appeared in one game last season after going under the knife in mid-September to clean up his knee, is not back to full speed. "He's trying to get healthy. He's got this thing with his leg. I don't know if I should get too specific with it," head coach Mike Zimmer told a local radio station as conveyed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "We're just waiting for it to get healthy and if that's the case then I think he can have a good year."

Analysis:

Minnesota signed defensive tackle Datone Jones in free agency, which likely shows the Vikings are not confident Floyd will be healthy for the 2017 season. However, Floyd has plenty of time to recover and be ready for training camp.
