After a 1,000-yard season catching passes from the Cleveland Browns' quarterback carousel, Terrelle Pryor is hoping Kirk Cousins stays put as his new field general.

In his first media availability since signing a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins, Pryor addressed rumors that Cousins could be traded. While some have questioned Cousins' viability as franchise quarterback, Pryor is convinced he'll be a treat with whom to work.

"Obviously, I would like to play with Kirk," Pryor said, according to ESPN's John Keim. "I'd be an idiot if I didn't believe that. He's a great quarterback. Hopefully that's what happens."

Pryor said he's already exchanged text messages with Cousins, who is set to play on the franchise tag for a second straight season, barring a trade. Pryor said his experience with the Browns last season has helped set reasonable expectations for his time in Washington.

"I played with six quarterbacks last year," said Pryor. "I don't think it can get that bad."

Technically, Pryor played with five quarterbacks last year, as he was the sixth Cleveland pass thrower and never completed a pass to himself.
