Malcolm Jenkins wins NFLPA's 'highest honor'

Eric Hartline / USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins' on-field season may not have ended the way he wanted, but he has been awarded the NFLPA's "highest honor" by his fellow players off the field.

Jenkins was announced as the 2017 winner of the Byron "Whizzer" White Award, recognizing his work going above and beyond to perform community services in Philadelphia.

Jenkins' charity "The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation" works with youth development in under-served communities of Louisiana, Ohio, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, emphasizing education, character, life skills, health, and recreation.
