Report: Patriots' Mitchell expected to play vs. Steelers

Stew Milne / USA TODAY Sports

New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell is expected to return for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after missing the last two games due to a knee injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Mitchell was among seven Patriots listed as questionable, including tight end Martellus Bennett and wide receiver Chris Hogan. All are expected to play.

The rookie pass-catcher caught 32 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season, and could be an X-factor for New England if Pittsburgh's defense zones in on the likes of Julian Edelman and Dion Lewis in the passing game.
