The Los Angeles Chargers have found their defensive coordinator.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley has agreed to join the Chargers to fill their defensive coaching vacancy, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports, citing sources.

Prior to his four-year stint in Jacksonville, which came to a close after producing just two wins in 14 games this year, Bradley was the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks from 2009 to 2012. By the time he left Seattle, he had evolved their defense into one of the best units in the league. As a result, Bradley was among the hottest head coaching candidates.

He will now return to his roots and attempt to turn around a Chargers defense that ranked in the middle of the pack this year.

The Chargers parted ways with previous defensive coordinator John Pagano after five seasons. Anthony Lynn was named the team's new head coach and he retained Ken Whisenhunt as the offensive coordinator.

With this move, Lynn has surrounded himself with two coordinators who have a combined 12 years of head coaching experience.
