Report: NFL seeking more info from Elliott over assault accusations
The NFL has sent a set of follow-up questions to Ezekiel Elliott regarding its investigation into several domestic violence accusations made by the ex-girlfriend of the Dallas Cowboys running back in July, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
If any discipline is imposed by the league on Elliott, it would be for the 2017 season, adds Schefter.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said in mid-December there's no timetable for the investigation, and Elliott is reportedly still in the process of answering the league's questions.
The NFL is looking into two incidents, both involving the same woman.
Elliott's ex-girlfriend alleged he caused bruises on her arm in July, which she posted to her Instagram and tagged the rookie, as well as alleging he shoved her against a wall during an argument in February, injuring her arm.
Elliott was not arrested or charged for either incident, but the NFL could still impose its own discipline.
A player can face a six-game ban for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
