New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman had a banner day Sunday, catching eight passes for a career-high 151 yards and a touchdown, drawing AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors in the process. His big day was highlighted by a 77-yard touchdown catch and run.

Robert Mathis went out on top. In the final game of his 14-year career, the Indianapolis Colts linebacker recorded three tackles and a strip-sack fumble recovery, earning him the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He is now tied with former teammate Dwight Freeney for the most Defensive Player of the Week award titles in Colts history at five.

Kansas City Chiefs receiver and return specialist Tyreek Hill put a cap on his incredible first season by earning his third AFC Player of the Week award after he scored on a 95-yard punt return on Sunday. He also won the award in Week 14 for his special teams prowess and in Week 12 for his offensive work.

Matt Ryan cemented his case for an NFL MVP trophy by throwing for 331 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-32 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The performance earned him his eighth career NFC Offensive Player of the Week award, the most in Atlanta Falcons history.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie hauled in two interceptions and recorded the second sack of his career in a New York Giants win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. By being named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, he's the first player since Deion Sanders to win the award with three different teams.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers punter Bryan Anger is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after he dropped each of his five punts inside the 20-yard line in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. He didn't allow a punt to be returned in the game.
