Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck took the blame for Saturday's loss to the Oakland Raiders that eliminated his team from playoff contention.

Luck went 19-of-29 for 288 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the losing effort, as the Colts dropped to 7-8.

"We failed," Luck said to ESPN's Mike Wells. "I feel like I failed. I feel like I failed my teammates."

Luck took particular issue with the two interceptions he threw Saturday.

"The interceptions were bad decisions and bad throws," Luck said. "The first one I thought I put it in a decent spot and the guy made a good play. The second one was bad on all levels. You can’t do that. Went from what was probably a guaranteed three points there. That was a pivotal moment in the game. There’s really no one else to blame but me."

Luck's completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 3,919 yards and 29 touchdowns against 12 interceptions this season, so it's difficult to put the blame for the Colts' failures solely on him. However, after becoming the highest-paid player in NFL history, Luck and the Colts' fan base will be ruing what could've been.
