Jaguars' Blake Bortles: Posts season-low yardage total Sunday

Bortles completed 12 of 28 passes for 92 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Texans. He also lost five yards on two rushes but scored a touchdown.

Analysis:

Although it was Texans QB Brock Osweiler that received a benching in this game, an argument could have been made for Bortles to have taken a seat as well. His passing yardage total was a season low, as was his 42.9 completion percentage and 3.29 YPA. However, it was actually the second time in the last three games that Bortles connected on less than half his throws, and there have been three other instances this season where he's posted a sub-60 percent completion rate. Although his 3,187 yards and 21 touchdown passes give off an air of respectability, the fact remains that the Jaguars have dropped nine straight and that Bortles' fantasy production has been in a downward spiral over the last three weeks, during which he's thrown for only one score against three interceptions. He'll try to bounce back in the Jaguars' Week 16 contest versus the Titans on Christmas Eve.
