Vikings' Adrian Peterson: Officially activated from injured reserve

The Vikings officially activated Peterson from the IR-R on Saturday.

Analysis:

Peterson somewhat surprisingly returned to practice this week, and announced his intention to play in Sunday's matchup against the Colts. Given the Vikings' struggling offense, and playoff hopes, it makes sense that Peterson would want to return as soon as possible. However, given that he has not played since Week 2, it is unclear what type of limitations, in terms of potential touches, the team will put on him. He could become the focal point of the offense again sooner than later however, due to the lack of other offensive options.
