When the NFL instituted the "My Cause My Cleats" campaign, there was one simple rule to wearing customized kicks: they have to be supporting a real charity or social cause.

Philadelphia Eagles receiver Dorial Green-Beckham decided to ignore that rule and will now be fined $6,076 for using the campaign as an excuse to wear Kanye West's "Yeezy" brand cleats, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.

Green-Beckham had previously proclaimed he was supporting the "Yeezy Foundation", which was quite clearly nonexistent.

Despite abusing the league's campaign, the former second-round pick wasn't fined anymore than he usually would have for violating the uniform policy. Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins was fined the same amount for wearing the same cleats in Week 1.

The kicks didn't help Green-Beckham much, as he caught four passes for just 29 yards on Sunday in a 32-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
