Jets' Doug Middleton: Promoted to active roster

Middleton was promoted to the Jets' active roster Thursday, Randy Lange of the team's official site reports.

Analysis:

The undrafted rookie out of Appalachian State spent the preseason with the Jets before being assigned to the practice squad in the first week of September. Look for him to play primarily on special teams for the time being as he finds himself on the bottom of the depth chart.
