Buccaneers' Evan Smith: Returns for limited practice Wednesday

Smith (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.

Analysis:

The fact that he was able to get in any degree of activity represents an improvement for Smith, considering he had missed every practice since exiting the Week 10 contest against the Bears with his knee injury. If he's able to suit up Sunday against the Saints, he'll resume his customary role backing up starter Joe Hawley.
