Falcons' Mohamed Sanu: Likely won't play Sunday

Head coach Dan Quinn told Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com on Wednesday that Sanu (groin) likely won't suit up Sunday at Los Angeles.

Analysis:

Sanu was a mere onlooker at Wednesday's practice, only catching passes on the side, which equated to no practice on the Falcons' first injury report of the week. There's no telling if Sanu will buck Quinn's assessment and participate in one (or both) of the remaining sessions this week. If not, Sanu could be ruled out before week's end, thereby ensuring Taylor Gabriel is the nominal No. 2 wideout behind Julio Jones, assuming the latter plays through his bout with turf toe.
