Rams' Fisher looking at imminent loss record as 'glass half full'

Not much has gone well for Jeff Fisher lately, but he's just happy to be in the game.

Getting one step closer to becoming the NFL's all-time losingest coach as the Los Angeles Rams dropped another game to the New England Patriots on Monday, Fisher says he's trying to stay positive in the face of a record nobody wants.

"I don't look at that. I've had a few wins in my career, as well," Fisher said about being one loss away from tying the record, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez. "And I've also been able to be very, very fortunate and have a long career.

"You can look at it as glass half full or half empty. I look at it as half full. I'm just honored that I still have an opportunity to coach in this game."

Fisher's two-year contract extension was announced Sunday, though he signed it before the season. Eric Dickerson, who Fisher apparently banned from the Rams' sidelines, has been leading the charge to get the coach fired for his losing ways.

Technically, Fisher still holds a winning career record sitting at 173-164-2 after Sunday's loss.
