Gore passes Dorsett for 8th on all-time rushing list

Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore surpassed Tony Dorsett to become the NFL's eighth all-time leading rusher with a 19-yard run in the second quarter against the New York Jets on Monday night.

Gore entered the game 30 yards short of Dorsett's 12,739-yard mark. The 33-year-old back reached the feat on the 2,888th carry of his 12-year career, split between the Colts and San Francisco 49ers.

Eric Dickerson is next up on the all-time list with 13,259 career yards.
