Officials miss clear contact to Bradford's head on decisive 2-point try

Officiating was once again put in the spotlight as a tightly contested NFL game reached its conclusion Thursday night.

After a putting together an eight-play, 65-yard drive to find the end zone in the final minutes of their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, the Minnesota Vikings were a two-point conversion away from forcing overtime.

Controversy arose on the official attempt that followed a false start, where replays showed that Sam Bradford took a blow to the head while delivering an incomplete pass that effectively ended the game.

Agree or disagree with the rule, this without question should have resulted in a penalty that advanced the Vikings a few yards and gave them another chance at converting the two-pointer.

Instead, the Cowboys escape with an 11th consecutive win and Minnesota drops to a once unfathomable 6-6 mark.

As is the case with so many controversial calls, this may be another that the NFL needs to address in the coming days.
