The head coaches for the New York Jets and Houston Texans confirmed Monday that they will not make changes at quarterback for Week 13.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the Jets' starting passer amid calls for a move to Bryce Petty, Jets head coach Todd Bowles announced.

There are rumors Bowles fears his veteran team will revolt if he hands the ball to Petty, whose readiness to start remains in question.

Bowles said his decision to stick with Fitzpatrick, who has thrown 13 interceptions this season to just 10 touchdowns, was an easy one. "No debate," he said, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Brock Osweiler will remain the Texans' starter following a game in which he threw three interceptions and no touchdowns, head coach Bill O'Brien made clear.

"Brock is our starting quarterback, and that's the way it is," O'Brien said, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Osweiler, to whom the Texans gave a $72-million contract in free agency, has failed to represent an upgrade over the Texans' revolving door of 2015 quarterbacks.

O'Brien refused to criticize Osweiler's play, saying, "I'm not going to dissect everything."
