Jones raves about Prescott stiff arm: 'He's the daddy when he does that'

Jerry Jones can non longer contain his excitement when it comes to discussing the success of his rookie quarterback.

Asked about one of Dak Prescott's more impressive plays in the Thanksgiving Day win over the Washington Redskins - an 18-yard run where he delivered a punishing stiff arm to veteran safety Donte Whitner, the Dallas Cowboys owner just about stopped making sense altogether.

"Well I'll say this, not only are you see him gaining when they got that pursuit coming after him, you see him run by a secondary player and then when he puts that stiff-arm (out) you quit worrying about him a little bit," Jones said, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News. "He's the daddy when he does that."

Well, alright then.

Regardless of the curious word choice from the ever-quotable Jones, it's become increasingly impossible to not be amazed with what Prescott's doing in putting together a stellar debut season.

The fourth-round pick now has now helped the Cowboys to 10 consecutive wins since rebounding from a season-opening loss to the New York Giants, both stealing the starting job from Tony Romo and solidifying himself as the quarterback of the future in the process.

While some may still be waiting for any signs of rookie struggles, perhaps it's time to wonder whether Prescott will bypass that stage altogether and only continue on the path of leading Dallas deep into the playoffs.
