Texans' J.J. Watt: Underwent evaluation Monday

Watt (back) underwent an evaluation on Monday regarding his rehab from September back surgery, but he'll still be kept out for the remainder of the season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Watt is eligible to return to the Texans this week, but the team has no intention to activate their star defensive end from injured reserve this season. Watt, who is expected to be back in Houston soon following a couple months of recovery back home, has been rehabbing by walking, basic stretching, and core work. The team figures to continue taking things slow with Watt as the season eventually draws to a close and the offseason begins.
