Cardinals choose Branch over Johnson to return from IR

The Arizona Cardinals have designated safety Tyvon Branch to return from injured reserve, according to Darren Urban of the team's official website.
The move means running back Chris Johnson, who is also on IR, will not be eligible to play again this season.
Branch was placed on IR in early October with a groin injury. Johnson also suffered a groin injury the same week.
Branch returned to practice Wednesday and is eligible to play Dec. 4.
