Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is active for the first time this season for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Romo, who missed the Cowboys' first nine games with a back injury, will serve as backup to rookie starter Dak Prescott.
Romo recently conceded that Prescott has earned the right to be the Cowboys' No. 1 quarterback moving forward, but reiterated that he still has a burning desire to start.

For the Cowboys, the return of Romo gives a team surging toward a division title (and perhaps the NFC's top seed) the security of knowing that if anything should happen to Prescott, the best backup quarterback in football is available to step in.
