Giants' Pierre-Paul: We aren't too worried about Jay Cutler

The next hurdle on the New York Giants' journey back to the playoffs is a Week 11 matchup against the 2-7 Chicago Bears.

The Giants' defense is finally coming together following an offseason spending spree, and apparently they aren't overly concerned with the prospect of facing Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

"We are not too worried about Cutler," defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul said, according to Brandon Estrict of bigblueview.com. "We have to be, but our job is to play the run first and get to the pass second. But as long as we keep playing good ball, we will be alright."

Cutler will be working without star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who was suspended for four games on Monday for a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy.

Without his favorite target, Cutler could be vulnerable to Pierre-Paul and the pass rush, which looks set to power New York to its first playoff appearance since winning the Super Bowl in 2011.

However, unlike his teammate Odell Beckham Jr. who recently said he feels confident about the first postseason appearance of his career, Pierre-Paul is focusing on the game in front of him, and nothing beyond.

"I agree, but let’s slow down for a minute. Like I said, our job this year is to just get in the playoffs, take it one game at a time and hopefully at the end of this run in the regular season we will be in the playoffs. That is the whole goal here."
