Browns' Robert Griffin: In line to practice next week

Griffin (shoulder) is slated to practice next week, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Though the QB, who is still listed on IR, is in line to practice, he still needs to clear one more medical hurdle before being cleared to play in a game. With that in mind, Griffin could undergo an exam on that front some time next week. In the event that Griffin is cleared, however, it's unclear whether the Browns would consider activating and/or starting him before the end of the season. The 0-10 team is currently being helmed by Cody Kessler, backed up by veteran Josh McCown.
