Browns' VP: RG3 will have chance to play again this year

Injured quarterback Robert Griffin III just might make it back on the football field for the Cleveland Browns this season.

Team vice president of football operations Sashi Brown said Griffin will "have an opportunity to come in and play again this year," according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Griffin suffered a fractured coracoid bone in his left shoulder in the season opener. He was placed on injured reserve, ensuring he would miss a league-mandated eight weeks. The Browns can bring one player off injured reserve but can wait until the player is eligible to practice to do so.

If and when Griffin returns, he'll either back up rookie starter Cody Kessler or return as the starter for a team that's currently 0-10.
