One day after his father's death, Dez Bryant played his best game of the season, racking up six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Bryant's performance in an emotional time helped lift the Dallas Cowboys past the Pittsburgh Steelers in a thrilling game, and the rest of the team heaped praise on the receiver.

"I thought he was remarkable," said head coach Jason Garrett, according to David Helman of the Cowboys' official site. "I don’t know how you begin to understand how someone can perform at that level dealing with such an emotional thing in their life."

"He was emotional, and as he should be," said tight end Jason Witten. "Just like a few weeks back, those are the moments you want to bottle up. These are the moments that you want to do for him, you know? As I've said, I don't know that there's anybody in my career that I've been more proud of, to have the relationship that I've had."

Bryant received the game ball in the locker room, but, understandably, didn't speak to reporters.

e did, however, post a dedication on Instagram to his father, saying he was "happy to take the torch."
