Jets' Ryan Fitzpatrick: Not expected to start against Rams

Fitzpatrick (knee) is not expected to start Sunday against the Rams, with Bryce Petty getting the call under center, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Analysis:

Fitzpatrick has been limited in practice all week, and while it was believed that he would be a game-time decision, it appears that head coach Todd Bowles is ready to roll with Petty. Fitzpatrick has struggled plenty this season, and while Bowles has said multiple times that he believes Fitzpatrick gives the team the best chance to win, if Petty plays well Sunday it may be tough for the former to get his starting job back.
