Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Chicago Bears, the team announced.

Evans was injured after taking a hard hit late in last Thursday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He returned to practice Monday, but wasn't cleared to play until Thursday.

With running Doug Martin also "optimistic" he'll play against the Bears after a multi-week absence, the Buccaneers' offense could be poised for a big day.
