Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has been fined $25,000 for his critical comments toward officials after last week's tie with the Cincinnati Bengals, a source told ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio.

Florio reports Norman is appealing the fine for calling out official Brad Freeman, after the cornerback received several flags for his physicality against A.J. Green.

"Who is official 88? He sucked," Norman said in his postgame press conference. "I'm just gonna be honest with you. I'm gonna be straightforward. He was terrible. I feel like he should be reprimanded. I feel like some of the plays that was going on out there, it was just - I mean, it was terrible.''

Norman was one of several star players - including Richard Sherman, Cam Newton, and Carson Palmer - to criticize officials last Sunday, but is reportedly the only one to be fined.
