Buccaneers' Roberto Aguayo: Misses extra-point try in Week 8 loss

Aguayo was good on his only field-goal attempt, which came from 41 yards, but missed one of two extra-point tries in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Raiders.

Analysis:

The rookie kicker's rollercoaster season continues, with every kick seemingly an adventure of varying degree. Aguayo was able to connect on a kick between 40 and 49 yards for only the second time in five tries, but he then missed the point-after attempt following Cameron Brate's five-yard touchdown reception on the first play of the fourth quarter. The misfire prevented the Bucs from tying the game at 17 at the time, although they were eventually able to take a 24-17 lead following a one-yard touchdown run by Jacquizz Rodgers and two-point conversion to Mike Evans. The team will presumably continue to press on with the second-round pick given the investment they have in him and his pedigree, but he'll need to put together an extended stretch of successful kicks at some point in order to have the full confidence of the coaching staff.
