The injury to Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson surprised many, most of all C.J. Anderson.

The Broncos' leading rusher was officially placed on IR Saturday after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. He suffered the injury during the team's Monday night victory over the Houston Texans.

Anderson expressed his shock at the injury and how he sustained it on Twitter on Saturday.

Anderson carried the ball 16 times for 107 yards and a touchdown in the game.

Unfortunately for him, he will miss the rest of the regular season with the injury. He hopes to return for the playoffs, should the Broncos make it that far.
