Colts' Moncrief will play vs. Chiefs after 5-game absence

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Donte Moncrief will play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs after missing the last five games with a shoulder injury, head coach Chuck Pagano announced Friday, according to Kevin Bowen of the Colts' official site.

The loss of Moncrief has limited the Colts' passing attack, with undrafted free-agent Chester Rogers forced into a prominent role.

Former first-round pick Phillip Dorsett was expected to take on more of the workload in Moncrief's absence, but has just nine catches in his last five games.

Dorsett missed last week's game, but is expected to play after he wasn't given a designation on the injury report.

The Colts have major injury concerns on the defensive side of the ball, with defensive lineman Henry Anderson and Kendall Langford both ruled out with knee injuries.

Pagano said the Colts plan to shut Langford down for a while, as he's struggling to recover from offseason knee surgery, according to Stephen Holder of the Indy Star.
