Patriots' Dion Lewis: Returns to practice Thursday

Lewis (knee) returned to practice Thursday, CSN New England reports.

Analysis:

With this development, the Patriots now have a three-week window in which to officially activate Lewis from the team's PUP list. With the team on bye in Week 9, we'd be surprised if we saw Lewis in a game before Week 10, a scenario that would extend, for at least this week, the window of PPR utility of James White.
