Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger: Gets in some individual work Tuesday

Roethlisberger (knee) did some individual work at Tuesday's practice, saying afterward he hopes to rejoin his teammates at some point next week, ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler reports.

Analysis:

Roethlisberger had surgery last Monday to repair a torn meniscus. His estimated timetable of two to three weeks subsequently has been referred to as a "best-case" scenario by Steelers president Art Rooney II, who said the real expectation is anywhere in the range of two-to-six weeks. Roethlisberger threw some passes to tight ends at Tuesday's practice, but it doesn't mean much that he's able to make throws while standing still. Real information regarding his potential Week 9 availability probably won't be available until next week. The Steelers are currently on bye ahead of a matchup with the rival Ravens.
