Cardinals' Patrick Peterson: Tending to sore back
Peterson played through a sore back during Sunday's tie with the Seahawks, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. "My back is killing me," Peterson said afterward. "I'll be alright. ... At times I was able to run forward but it was all about breaking when I had the opportunity to break left and right, when I had to extend my arm and things like that. But I'll be OK. I'll be ready to go next week."
Analysis:
Injured on a punt return just before halftime, Peterson went to the locker room on two occasions to receive treatment and used a heating pad to reduce the discomfort. No matter, he logged every defensive snap in the overtime affair, picking up two solo tackles along the way. He appears to be a prime candidate for reduced practice reps this week, but the first DNP of his career likely won't come to pass.
