Cardinals' John Brown: Dealing with complications from sickle-cell trait

A blood test revealed that Brown is dealing with leg pains caused by a sickle-cell trait, as opposed to the hamstring injury that was previously reported, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis:

It's unclear how this might affect Brown's availability for Sunday's game against Seattle, but it does appear he's in some danger of missing the contest, as he was absent from practice both Wednesday and Thursday. With fellow wideout Jaron Brown (knee) also missing the past two practices, the Cardinals may need to rely more heavily on Michael Floyd and J.J. Nelson in addition top target Larry Fitzgerald. Another update will be available when the team releases its final injury report Friday afternoon.
