Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke the franchise record for completions in a game, edging Hall of Famer Brett Favre with 39 against the Chicago Bears on Thursday.
Rodgers relied heavily on wide receiver Davante Adams who almost tied a Packers record as well, grabbing 13 receptions, just one shy of Don Hutson's mark of 14.
Rodgers also threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns Thursday, putting the Packers in a position to beat the reeling Bears, who lost quarterback Brian Hoyer to a broken arm in the first half.
Rodgers now has possession, or a share of, seven Packers passing records.
