Report: Browns, Pryor begin 'very preliminary' long-term contact talks

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns and wide receiver Terrelle Pryor have begun "very preliminary" negotiations on a long-term contract, a source told ESPN's Tony Grossi.

Pryor is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season and has been one of the lone bright spots on the Browns' roster this year.

The 27-year-old is in his first full season as a receiver after head coach Hue Jackson helped him transition from quarterback. Pryor, who leads his team with 33 catches for 413 yards and four touchdowns, has previously expressed an interest to stay under Jackson after this season.
