Steelers' Ladarius Green: Plans to practice next week

Green (ankle) plans to return to practice next week when he is eligible to do so, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Green remains on the Steelers' physically unable to perform list, but he's trending in the right direction health-wise, and it's within the realm of possibility that he could be activated in advance of the Steelers' Oct. 23 game against the Patriots. Of course, with Pittsburgh on bye in Week 8, it's not hard to imagine the team playing it safe and waiting until Week 9 to roll out Green for the first time, assuming no setbacks.
