Brady, Slay lead list of Player of the Week recipients

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was rewarded for his performance in his first game back from a four-game suspension with the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 5. Brady completed 28-of-40 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots' 33-13 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, landing Brady his 26th career Player of the Week award, the second-most in NFL history.

Buffalo Bills corner Nickell Robey-Coleman impressed with a two-interception, one-touchdown day against the Los Angeles Rams, earning him AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The fourth-year pro's 41-yard pick-six all but sealed the 30-19 victory in the Bills' favor.

Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri just will not age. The 43-year-old went 5-for-5 in field-goal attempts on Sunday, nailing kicks of 26, 41, 46, 53, and 54 yards. He earned his 16th career AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award with that performance.

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his 157-yard, two-touchdown game Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson led the league in rushing in Week 5.

Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay forced a fumble and intercepted Carson Wentz to end the Philadelphia Eagles' final drive and preserve a 24-23 victory Sunday, earning him the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 5. His 85-yard punt-return touchdown put the Redskins on the board Sunday in a game they would go on to win 16-10. The play matches the longest kick return of the year to this point, a mark Crowder now shares with Andre Roberts of the Detroit Lions.
