Brady throws for 406 yards, 3 TDs in return from suspension

Tom Brady was every bit the Hall of Fame quarterback the football world has come to know in his return from suspension Sunday afternoon.

Leading the way to a blowout win over the Cleveland Browns, the New England Patriots' star signal-caller connected on 28-of-40 pass attempts for 406 yards and three touchdowns.

While signs of rust would have been understandable after an extended absence from all team-related activities, any such concerns can already be put to rest.

In typical Brady fashion, passes were evenly distributed to a number of different targets, including five passes for 109 yards to Rob Gronkowski.

When it came time to look for the end zone, though, it was fellow tight end Martellus Bennett who was there to capitalize. The veteran pass-catcher, acquired in an offseason trade with the Chicago Bears, hauled in six receptions for 67 yards and all three of Brady's touchdowns.

With the tuneup game a resounding success, the Patriots will now look ahead to a challenging two-game stretch in which they take on the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.
