Bills' 1st-round pick Lawson expected to return when eligible in Week 7

Shaq Lawson remains on track to return from the physically unable to perform list at the earliest possible date.

The Buffalo Bills' first-round rookie is "ready to roll" and expected to play when first eligible in Week 7, head coach Rex Ryan told reporters Monday.

Lawson remained on the PUP list heading into the regular season as he continued to work his way back from offseason shoulder surgery.

Whether he starts immediately or is relegated to a rotational role, Lawson's presence will have the potential to provide a much-needed pass-rush upgrade on the edge.
