Texans' J.J. Watt: Potentially done for remainder of season

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Watt (back) is likely out for the remainder of the season, leaving his odds of returning from IR as "slim."

Analysis:

While there are no long-term concerns with the injury, the chances we see Watt take the field again this season seem highly unlikely. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year recorded eight tackles and 1.5 sacks in the first three weeks of the season before aggravating his back injury. Watt's absence leaves an enormous hole in the Texans defense, which is expected to be filled by Devon Still and the newly signed Antonio Smith.
