Cowboys' Dez Bryant: Fined by Cowboys

Bryant has been fined by the Cowboys following his absence from the team Monday through Wednesday this week, the Dallas Morning News reports,

Analysis:

Injured on the initial drive of Sunday night's win against the Bears, Bryant wasn't receptive to news that the ailment may be serious and subsequently missed treatment and team meetings through Wednesday. Hence, the reason an MRI was delayed until midweek, when the Cowboys learned Bryant has a lateral hairline fracture of the tibial plateau in his right knee. According to Todd Archer of ESPN.com, head coach Jason Garrett said Bryant will miss a second consecutive practice Thursday, but the wideout cannot yet be ruled out for Sunday's game in San Francisco. If he's unable to take the field in Week 4, it could mark the first of multiple absences.
