Report: Cowboys' Bryant a 'long shot' to play Sunday

Dez Bryant's knee injury will make him a "long shot" to play in the Dallas Cowboys' game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Rapoport reports there may be "minimal risk" of Bryant doing more damage to the hairline fracture in his right knee, but the team is also aware that anymore aggravation could turn a short-term injury into a three-week absence.

The Cowboys learned of the hairline fracture after receiving the results of an MRI on Wednesday. It was initially believed to be a day-to-day injury, but the recovery could take weeks.

Bryant seemed to suggest on Twitter that the injury isn't too serious.

The Cowboys' star receiver had three catches for 40 yards and scored his first touchdown of the year in a victory over the Chicago Bears last week.
