Lions' Matthew Stafford: Comeback effort comes up short

Stafford completed 28 of 41 pass attempts for 385 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's loss to the Packers. He also added an interception and 11 yards on two carries.

Analysis:

Stafford and the Lions were forced to play from behind for a majority of Sunday's contest after getting down early, which opened the door for the quarterback to put up big numbers. His favorite target Week 3 turned out to be Marvin Jones, who he connected with six times for 205 yards and two scores, including a 73-yard play. Stafford had a similar game to his Week 1 performance against the Colts, when he also tossed three touchdowns. Sunday's effort was a notable improvement from a lackluster performance in last week's loss to the Titans. His next test will come next week in a division matchup against the Bears.
